My Father, Paul D. Eland, immigrated to the United States from Germany when he was 11 years old in 1936 along with his older sister and parents. The small city he came from, Lauphein (Baden-Wuttemberg) had a thriving Jewish neighborhood, in which his parents played an important role. Now there are no Jews left in the town, but the city maintains the Jewish Cemetery as a memorial.
NEVER AGAIN!
