Ruth Fath

Ruth Schreiber Fath was a woman of strong Jewish beliefs and dedication to the Jewish community at large and in her own local community within Princeton. This was evident throughout her life. While growing up, Ruth was deeply involved with her local Jewish community in Rochester, New York. As an adult, she attended the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City, earning a baccalaureate degree through a joint program with Columbia University. Around that time, she lived for a time on a kibbutz in Israel.
From middle age through the end of her life, Ruth and her husband, Joseph Fath, were dedicated congregants of the Princeton Center. They visited Israel a number of times; they returned from such trip with a Torah which now resides in the Princeton Jewish Center, where the Faths donated funds towards the expansion of the Center many years ago.
